“Newest data held” is the most recent period in our copy, for the dataset named beneath it. Other datasets from the same publisher will be older

“Gone quiet” means our newest figure for that dataset is more than three of its own periods old. Some have genuinely ended — a historical series that stops in 1991 is finished, not late — and others are simply waiting on the publisher

Where a dataset covers several countries, the period shown is Romania’s. Romania reports later than most of the EU, so other countries often reach a month further
